Hello World

Hello World Author: Manya Stojic Genre: Multicultural book Grade: Pre-K and up This book is greetings and saying hello in 42 different languages in the world. It starts by stating what “Hello” is or for. It then encourages the reader to learn the word “hello” in different languages. It starts with how to say “hello” in Hawaiian, Welsh, Spanish, French, and continues in some more different languages. I recommend to have this in the classroom because ESL learners will be enthusiast with this book and other foreign students. During cultural week in school or not, I will definitely read this out loud for it will teach students how to say “hello” or greet other people with different languages. The students can teach the language that they know also to their other classmates. The pictures in this book is very simple and that the foreign word lettering is big for students to see. This is a necessity in the classroom for it encourage students to learn other languages.
